The Monster Mile at Dover International Speedway has been hosting the NASCAR Cup Series since 1969, and this weekend it will host a pair of races on back-to-back days. Saturday's and Sunday's races begin at 4 p.m. ET and both are called the 2020 Drydene 311. With a new performance-based formula used to determine the 2020 Drydene 311 starting grid, Chase Elliott has been awarded the pole on Saturday.

Elliott grabbed his second victory of the season last week at the Daytona road course to move up to fourth in the NASCAR standings and he's now listed at 13-2 in the latest 2020 Drydene 311 odds from William Hill. Meanwhile, Kevin Harvick (11-4), Denny Hamlin (9-2) and Martin Truex Jr. (5-1) are the only other drivers in Saturday's 2020 Drydene 311 starting grid listed at shorter than 10-1 on the 2020 NASCAR at Dover odds board. Before locking in any 2020 Drydene 311 picks for Saturday, be sure to see the latest 2020 NASCAR at Dover predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven model at SportsLine.

  1. NASCAR betting: Odds, lines for Dover 2020 Staff Report 8/23/2020. Martin Truex Jr.Sunday odds: 4-1Saturday odds: 7-2Best Dover finish: 1st (three times, most.
  2. Bets at Dover can be made with as little as $5! WAGERING EXAMPLE: If you bet $5 on your favorite driver to win at 10-1 odds, you would win $50 if they take the checkered flag! Dover International Speedway was the first NASCAR track to have on-site sports betting, beginning in Fall 2018.
  3. NASCAR at Dover: Odds, fantasy advice, prediction, sleepers, drivers to watch for Gander Outdoors 400.

The model began the 2020 NASCAR season by picking Denny Hamlin to win his second consecutive Daytona 500 at 10-1. It got off to a hot start on its NASCAR picks following the coronavirus hiatus as well, calling seven of the top 10 drivers at both Darlington races. Using the model, McClure also recommended an outright play on winner Brad Keselowski at 13-1 as one of his best bets at Bristol in May.

The model also called Kevin Harvick's win at Atlanta and nailed a whopping nine top-10 finishers in that race. McClure also used the model to lock in an outright bet on Hamlin winning at 10-1 at Miami. At The Brickyard, the model called Harvick's fourth victory of the season, and also identified four top-five drivers in the All-Star Race at Bristol. Then last week at the Daytona road course, the model called Chase Elliott's win and nailed three of the top four drivers. Anybody who has follow the model has seen some huge returns.

Now, the model simulated the NASCAR at Dover race on Saturday, Aug. 22, 10,000 times. Head here to see the complete projected leaderboard.

Top 2020 Drydene 311 predictions for Saturday

The model is high on Kurt Busch, even though he's a 30-1 long shot in the latest NASCAR at Dover odds from William Hill. He's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. The 41-year-old still needs a win in 2020 to extend a six-year streak with at least one win every season, but he's been remarkably consistent and still owns a seat in the NASCAR Playoffs since he enters the weekend ranked ninth in the standings.

Busch has finished in the top 20 in his last 21 starts on the NASCAR Cup Series and owns 14 top-10 finishes in 2020. Busch won the 2011 AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway and has had three top-10 finishes (including two top-fives) in his last four starts at the Monster Mile.

And a massive shocker: Kevin Harvick, the top Vegas favorite at 11-4, fails to get to victory lane. Harvick has six victories after winning both races at Michigan, but he didn't enjoy his ride at the Daytona road course after finishing 17th.

That ended a streak of nine consecutive top-five finishes. Harvick has a pair of wins at Dover International Speedway, but he's also had nine finishes of 20th or worse. There are far better values this week in a loaded 2020 Drydene 311 starting lineup.

How to make 2020 Drydene 311 picks for Saturday

The model is also targeting four other drivers with 2020 NASCAR at Dover odds of 12-1 or longer to make a serious run at the checkered flag, including a massive long shot with triple-digit odds. Anyone who backs these drivers could hit it big. You can only see who they are here.
